Guess what Fanciful Friends? I have done something productive! Amazing and unlikely, I know.
I have had a rough few months in regards to, well, a lot of things. But I am hoping to get back on top of my reviewing, this website, and my own writing. And I have taken the first step!
Tomorrow is the first day of the Nightmare Fuel course being hosted by Autocrit Academy. This is a short, online course dedicated to helping aspiring (or experienced) horror writers create their best, spooky works. It will be covering topics ranging from creating your creatures, pacing your scares, and even understanding fear itself. They warn that it may be difficult for some people to take this course, due to the intense nature, but I think I’ll be write in my element (get it? Write? I’ll just let myself out, shall I?)
Joking aside, I am thrilled to be taking this course. I love horror, as I am sure you’re all aware, given the frequency horror novels pop up when I am reviewing. And I have never actually taken a writing course before, so I am super excited to see what is what, and hopefully learn lots, and have fun! And, it was affordable too, costing AU$149 (with the option to pay in two installments).
Have you ever taken a writing course? What do you think about horror?
